The secret is out. It’s been a long three year wait, but fans can rejoice. There IS a new Wilson album coming. Tasty Nasty, which was produced by the band and Scott “The Ninja” Stevens, will be available August 24 via RED MUSIC.
To celebrate, Wilson released the new single, Like A Baller. They have also stayed true to their sense of humor with an accompanying video, produced and directed by Raymond Rivard and lead singer, Chad Nicefield, for Tradesmen Films. It depicts the adventures of a parking valet as he travels the journey of life. Watch the video below.
Like A Baller itself starts off with a laid-back, heavy groove that immediately pulls you in. I’m going to go ahead and say it. This song just straight up rocks! The lyrics are also a lot of fun and you’ll quickly find yourself singing along with the chorus. Overall, it leaves a very memorable taste in your mouth, ahem, ears. Can we have some more please?
Like A Baller also gives listeners a taste of the musical direction the band has taken for the new album, which is based on their love of 90’s and Hip-hop. “I just kind of realized who we are as people and our DNA was that of a bunch of lovable, silly dudes, that love to make music,” says Nicefield. “That needs to be transparent in our music.”
Initial reaction to some of the songs on the album have been described as “infectious” and “diverse.” While the terms “great story telling” and “reflective introspection” sum up some of the lyrical content. One can only expect that no matter if you are a new fan or a diehard, Tasty Nasty has a little bit of something for everyone to appreciate.

About: Wilson formed in 2010 when members Chad Nicefield (vocals), Jason Spencer (lead guitars), Kyle Landry (rhythm guitars), James Lascu (bass) and Matt Puhy (drums) came together in Detroit, MI. With two previous full-length releases, Fullblast F-ckery (2013) and Right To Rise (2015), the band are back in 2018 with a new album, record label and an outlook on their career and musical direction that combines their unique brand of in-your-face Rock ‘n’ Roll with the influence of Hip-hop and all things 90’s.
This isn’t your parents’ music. This is Tasty Nasty!
